It would be pretty unexpected for the Guardians...

So do you have any background information to support your claim? Ifghar was a pretty minor character so it seemed and very old for that matter, one with revenge issues. Yet pirate owls are supposedly barbarians, unorganized thieves (Yes, thieves can be organized), so what makes you think that they'd lead an attack against the most powerful and influential force in all of Ga'Hoole? Seems like suicide to me.

well you never know how many owls they have, maybe they could have even trained, heck, knowing lasky they will team up with the Pure Ones.

I feel that Ifghar's becoming more and more of an apparent character. She seemed to spend enough time on him in the Burning (I think) to not leave him alone, in my opinion.

I don't really think pirates would attack Ga'Hoole even if they teamed up with The Pure Ones but thats just what I think.

But Ifghar is a little too old, don't you think? I mean, he's Ezylryb's brother, and Ezylryb died... I think Ifghar isn't too far from death, either. We'll just have to wait for book 13 and beyond, I guess.
