Author's Note: Because I had written this a half a year ago, it isn't as good of quality as some of my other pieces. Also, there's a 'lot' more of this stuff comin' to the forums.
Secondly, in the time of legends, the anthropomorphs were mixed in with the realistic animals. There weren't many anthros, but enough to create the next generation of dominance.
Oh yeah, this is the first story that 'I' am actually in. If I never told you, pretty much every idea used in this story was formed through my active role-playing with my close friend, Khar.
One last thing... In the next story and even this, it talks about Zeth, Urada and Drauka. They're all humanoid dragons that hold the same form as Campion's. If you aren't sure about the descriptions, just look at my avatar. That's pretty much exactly what they look like.
It was a beautiful and warmer mid-winter day at Sifdon and was worthy for every creature to enjoy. Inhabitants guessed it was around 40 degrees with a cloudless sky. A few snow roses had sprung up on the plains around the center of the island and the snow-drenched trees had an almost lifelike look to them.
Sadly though, innocent families fought for food and shelter as different factions fought for land in the island's southern reaches. Shaky relief programs continued on the reconstruction of the trading city of Parain as the faction civil wars moved further northward, starting to involve the previous Clan's forests.
The Clan was a neutral organization of Sifdon inhabitants who made their fortified home in the northern forests of the island.
The remnants of the Clan saw the civil war and assumed further control of the northern forests. Although, after the factions hastily decided to attack Clan patrols in desperation to gain land, they soon found many of their militiamen strangely disappear into the darkness.
Khar, the temporary Clan leader, had begun conducting Clan activities after the former leader, Campion, had left for the island of Figaro.
About a month ago did the warring kingdom of Figaro launch a surprise attack on Sifdon Island. The now smoldering ruins of Rockridge Outpost had been set afire during the attack and the peaceful trading city of Parain besieged by the invaders.
Unluckily, as Campion and Khar were heading towards Rockridge Outpost on a quick visit, Figaro attacked. Also, the enemy general had stolen a 'whistle' that belonged to Khar and took control of him. Campion had retreated to the Clan fortress but found that it had been captured by the Figaron invaders.
Campion entered the fortress alone by a secret underground tunnel. Strangely, the Figarons had already been driven out by Khar and Campion resumed his control of the fort. Khar had also regained possession of his whistle and reluctantly handed it over to Campion thinking that it'd be safe with him.
During that night, the Figaron general, Keisha, had tried to assassinate Campion but failed, taking the whistle as a small victory over him.
Campion realized how serious this was and embarked on a solo journey to the island of Figaro.
Khar had then taken temporary leadership until Campion strangely appeared back on Sifdon. He possessed the whistle and returned it to Khar, knowing that he himself could no longer protect it.
Campion had also returned with three foreigners. They were all dragons except held the physical form of a human. Their names were Zeth, Urada and Drauka…
